Valencia: Conciliatory finish of the season
Under difficult conditions Max regained his former strength, which was lost during the second half of the season, at the season finale in Valencia. After he dropped back from position 24 to 28 when starting, he was able to achieve his fifth top-ten result of this year after a terrific chase.
Max: "I am very satisfied with my ninth place. That was maybe the most dangerous race of the year because it has always rained a bit and we were driving with slick tires. At the beginning I was driving very carefully instead of going to the limit immediately because it makes no sense crashing quickly under those conditions. But I was able to get faster and improve lap times. At the end I was almost right behind the group of Anthony but then unfortunately it started raining again. What I will do next year has not been decided yet. But I would like to continue working with my current team, that's a good team."
